What is #LauLicks?

I started this mini-series on Instagram during the height of the COVID19 pandemic when I was in Hong Kong. Throughout lockdowns in many parts of the world, I received messages from students everywhere asking how I would tackle this lick, or what sticking I would use etc. One of the things I advocate the most is how we practice. Are we practicing efficiently? Are the reps you put in yielding the desirable result? Why do/don’t they work? What kind of practice devices/methods should we use for certain kind of licks? As a performing artist actively teaching, performing, and touring, we don’t have that many hours to practice.

Laulicks was born. I am using what I know and I learned from my teachers & colleagues to show y’all how I tackle pieces I am working on, and hopefully they are helpful to you too! Let me know if you have any suggestion for #Laulicks.
