I offer both in-person (within the Boston area) & online options for 1-on-1 lessons. Private lessons are fantastic to achieve individualized goals. As a educator and touring teaching artist, I love meeting and working with inquisitive students and maximize their potential. I have students from all over the world including Hong Kong, Argentina, Italy, Spain, and the US.

Whether you are an undergraduate or graduate students, I can help you find your individuality and artistic voice in our percussion community. I can guide you to the right directions in repertoire and resources based on your background, interests, and idiosyncrasies. Similarly, I can connect you to possible colleagues and artists that share the same vision/voice for more support.
GRADUATE SCHOOLS AUDITION PREPARATION
I have a strong record of success in prepping students for their graduate school auditions. We will work on audition repertoire choices based on your own artistic voice, writing a concise personal statement/statement of purpose that makes you stand out amongst applicants, audition etiquette and strategies such as performance anxiety, how to counteract with unfamiliar situations & instruments etc.
My students have received scholarship offers from Arizona State University, University of Toronto, Stony Brook University, Boston Conservatory, University of Nebraska at Omaha, New York University.
REPERTOIRE DEVELOPMENT
We can work towards building your repertoire. I draw experience from teaching a wide spectrum of level of students, ranging from complete beginner to early professionals. We will work towards certain musical goals and professional goals with the repertoire chosen together. We will work towards certain pieces with efficient practice strategies and plan, on how to maximizing practice sessions and enhancing your artistry.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
I draw experience as a producer, curator, and administrator to guide you through various topics in professional development. I have a successful track record of acquiring funding and grants for my own projects, my percussion group The Up:Strike Project, and my duo Fisher/Lau Project. As a an experienced concert artist, I will guide you everything from curating your own projects, finding resources, writing for grants, and even starting your own commissions.
